Day 18: MINISTRIES

October 25, 2007

Share with God’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.

Romans 12:13

Jesus came to Earth to love, to serve, and to die. He wanted to express His love by serving, not to be served. Jesus taught us how we can express our love to Him and to others by meeting the needs of God’s people. We all know the saying, “it is better to give than to receive,” and it is true. How much time do we serve others versus focusing on ourselves?

Who in particular comes to mind when you think of people in history that have demonstrated a life of ministry? Mother Theresa, Martin Luther King, Billy Graham? All are considered great ambassadors and truly showed a great heart of ministry.

Did you know that God values your ministry? Men, women, youth, children, singles, and parents alike have needs that can be met through the ministry of others. God has taken us through unique experiences in our lives in order to position us to make an impact on others. At Northview Christian Life Church, we believe that you should “Love Others” with all your heart. Like Jesus, we have the opportunity to use our gifts to serve God. Ministries at Northview such as Studio 6.7, North Beach, Brookside and others will allow you to meet needs in our community.

Prayer Focus: Pray that God will use your unique talents and gifts as a ministry to others. Ask God to shape your life and experience so that it can be a light in the darkness.
